Director of Marketing

Grand Touring Automobiles group is hiring a Director of Marketing. As the Director of Marketing, your primary responsibilities will be: manage and coordinate events, day to day advertising and marketing initiatives; and, support the sales team, as required to provide account management for the organization. In addition you will be responsible to work with our agency and related partners as required.

Major Duties:

  • Coordinate all logistics as it relates to events and marketing initiatives (print, digital, social)
  • Prepare weekly status reports and lead meetings with the VPs to provide current status, challenges, timelines, briefs, key next steps, etc.
  • Monitor all events/project timelines/schedules; and, advise team of any delays or changes.
  • Work with VP and GM to build annual advertising plan and budget
  • Track spending against Budget and ensure accounting is recording items correctly
  • Work with outside agencies to execute budget where needed and negotiate costs
  • Ensure all marketing is OEM brand compliant
  • Ensure all Marketing spend requirements for OEM are met in order to qualify for back end money
  • Ensure all OEM brand portals are updated with required supporting documents and invoices for marketing spends
  • Ensure all co-op claims are submitted and paid
  • Take on as many event planning duties personally as possible. Reduce costs of agency work to projects that we can’t execute in house
  • Ensure all customer communications are taking place per developed plan
  • Ensure all internal communications are taking place per developed plan
  • Ensure Grand Touring Automobiles brand compliance in all stores and on websites.
  • Attend all manufacturer marketing meetings and represent our stores professionally
  • Ensure event leads are tracked to conclusion for each one
  • Attend and work evenings= and weekend events as required.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma in Marketing is preferred.
  • Minimum 3-years of agency or related experience.
  • Proficiency in Excel and PPT.
  • Ability to manage a wide variety of tasks at one time is a must.
  • Works well under pressure and tight deadlines; and a strong ability to be fluid in a fast-moving environment.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Driven, energetic and goal-oriented.
  • Proactive and shows initiative.
  • Team player.
  • Logical and analytical. Ability to strategize would be welcomed.
  • Solutions-oriented; problem solver.
  • Passion for marketing; with an interest in the automotive industry.
  • Demonstrated relationship building and customer service skills.
  • Travel a must, so a driver’s license and automobile is a necessity.
  • Able to work evenings and weekends for events as needed.
  • Access to means of transportation is required within GTA and surrounding cities.
  • Able to travel to all locations, including Calgary
