Jaguar's "must-have" XKR sports coupe is about to get a new special edition added to its lineup. It's called the XKR Portfolio, and it brings the model more amenities, more technology and more presence.
The latter comes by way of an exclusive Celestial Black paint treatment accented by polished 20" Cremona wheels. There are also polished aluminum side vents, hinting at the excessive power which comes from underhood.
It's a 4.2 litre V8 engine which is supercharged for a whopping 420 horsepower. That's good for 0-60 in around 5 seconds for the convertible model, and slightly less time for the lighter coupe.
Matching the engines output are a set of cutting edge new brakes developed with Alcon, a world leader in braking technology. The largest brakes to be fitted to a production Jaguar, the front discs measure 400 millimetres and are clamped down upon by six-piston calipers. Superior heat dissipation is built into the system for fade-free and sure-footed stopping typical of the cars character.
The delicious sounding supercharged engine may have some competition for drivers ears from the new stereo system. It's a 525 watt unit with an exclusive Bowers & Wilkins speaker system featuring Kevlar mid-range speakers and aluminum dome tweeters.
