Aston Martin was supposed to officially unveil its new, über-exclusive One-77 coupe at the Paris Auto Show. To everyone's surprise, the manufacturer only lifted the cloth over the head and tail lamps, leaving us hungry for more
After a few weeks of suspense, the car has finally been revealed in all its glory. It boasts all the telltale Aston Martin features, even calling upon the company's rich heritage with an oversized grille reminiscent of the exclusive Zagato versions. The spectacular tail lights reach across the breath of the car in one swooping stroke.
Unfortunately, no interior pics have been released. However, several technical specs seem to have been confirmed, such as the engine. The manufacturer will likely opt for a 7.3-litre V12 mill that'll kick out over 700 snorting ponies. The chassis is made of carbon fibre and some of the body panels are aluminum.
Only 77 units will be produced, and the One-77 will be sold for the astronomical amount of 2.1 million dollars. Even before the car was partially revealed in Paris, Aston Martin had already cashed in individual $400,000 deposits for each of the 77 cars. The first deliveries are slated for the end of 2009.
